Founded in 1830 at the foot of the pyrenees by Lucien Laulhère, the Laulhère house began making berets in 1840. To make this exceptional product a reality, it is paramount to only use meticulously selected materials of prime quality, to employ men and women who have no more secrets to learn from the arts of knitting, fulling and felting, dyeing and many other specialized skills specific to the beret making trade. All of this expertise has earned the Laulhère house in 2013 the official recognition provided by the following badges: Origine France Garantie and Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant.
