Product details

A Plaid far from plain!

Bailey Hats of Hollywood’s Boreal Hat is a summer fedora whose style will definitely stand out from a crowd. Its classic crown, adjustable brim and fine grosgrain ribbon are all classic, but it's the material that changes everything: authentic Panama straw, hand-dyed and braided in a large check pattern, making each piece absolutely unique. The combination of shape and pattern makes the Boreal hat the perfect compromise between timeless classic and summery charm.

A Panama hat’s straw comes from the Toquilla palm, weaved by hand in Ecuador according to a particular method which gives its tight weave a unique circular motif. This material and technique will procure great  UV protection against the sun and its coating will protect the hat from light droplets.

Women and men wear it very well, seeing as it fits most face shapes. The Boreal Hat is not lined and is fitted with a comfortable woven braid sweatband.
